for everyone
Ibaloi children with "kayabangs", note that they are small indicating that the baskets were custom-made for small children.

i love looking at old pictures like this one - they speak a lot about the past - check out the similarities with these Chinese women [http://goldendragon613.multiply.com/photos/album/36/chinese_nationalities#2]

The loaded basket looks beautiful but to carry that all the way home is another thing. Another problem too is the camote does not stay long. "Maagali" after a month or so. It goes to the pigs. I look like one of the girls. The one who is squatting. She is saying, "there is no way I can carry this, it is so heavy".

Jack,

Can I buy the picture? Do you think 20x20 look okay not totally washed out? If it is possible, please let me know at janetlawa@yahoo.com; cost and place of pick up. Thanks, aberdang.

I am a computer illiterate so sometimes I can not find your responses to my comments. Also, comments from Cuyapi (my daughter) should be Aberdang (me) instead. I am not sure how it is happening this way?

Thanks, Aberdang

Uy, my grandmother was betrothed to Dennis Molintas Sr. at age 11. He was around 10 years older. He then sent her to school, they got married, and she grew fond of him, and built a life with him. Now, whether he was the man who made her heart beat faster, well, haha, that's the story that may never get told...or, maybe I will tell it when I'm in my 70s.

Why wait that long, if at all. Life is full of uncertainties.
