for everyone
Now you know why they called it the Stone Market. It was made out of "Baguio Stone", that pinkish, lavender lime stone which is now extinct. It used to stand on the site of the present Maharlika Building.

This was the old stone market of Baguio, on the site of the present Maharlika Building, beside the present market. It got burned down when i was a kid during the mid 1960s. Maharlika Building was built by Imelda Marcos during Martial law, 1970s.

Wow galeng! I could imagine the pinkish and maroonish Baguio stones. Such a loss of Baguio patrimony.

Only the Baguio City High now remains to be a prototype of this kind of unique Baguio architecture.
