for everyone
The house where I grew up in which stood in the spot where the Venus Park View Hotel now stands. Burnham Park was our exrtended front yard. This old house was the site of many happy memories as well as heartbreaks, such as when it was torn down in 1972 after being foreclosed by the bank.

sad about all the old historical structures like your family house we have lost in Baguio. We really should have an organization that will preserve all these historic buildings (houses or otherwise). maybe this can be a part of the post Baguio Centennial plans.

That front brings back many memories, too. Playing basketball in the frontyard when we were freshmen, Jack being stung by a bee from the hive above the roof. My God Jack's forehead was really swollen. I remember running away from the bees myself. I remember running after the basketball that has fallen down the hill unto the road below, and of course, I remember the great friendship that our class shared as we look forward to the end of our classes so we can go hang out in your house. The house maybe gone by now, but boy, the memories I have is so freshly painted in my mind I feel like everything just happened yesterday!!! Thanks for posting this Jack.
